This week, the UN General Assembly is taking place in New York. Last night, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the stage to speak, dozens of delegations chose to stand up and walk out in protest. Some representatives even booed as he presented Israel’s position to the world. But that was not the whole picture. Others stayed, applauded, and chants of “Am Yisrael Chai” were heard in the hall. In recent days, we have also seen leaders and elected officials from different countries continue to speak publicly about the importance of their relationship with Israel, cooperation with Israel, and support for Israel in the face of growing international criticism.

Jewish civilization is not a religion - Jews have a religion which many Jews follow, some Jews don't. There's an answer to who the Jews are. Jews are a joinable tribal group, with a shared history, homeland and culture and that was a sentence in English. In Hebrew it's one word, two letters long - עַם (AM: Nation / Peoplehood)."
